As well as being asked to mend muscles, jiggle joints and stretch away the soreness, the other question that we usually get is, “why did you call yourselves the Pea Green Physio?” Well here is the answer:
First and foremost the big dream that we set out to achieve was that we would be different. We knew that the service we were going to offer would be better than your average physio; we intended to get really hands on and deep into the problems that our customers faced. Just a gentle rub, stuff to read at home, your ultrasound dose and painkillers were never going to cut it for our customers. So the last thing we wanted was to sound the same as everyone else… We set out to make a real difference in people’s lives and I think you’ll agree that we’ve done that; so the name had to reflect that difference from the start.
What’s in a colour?
The standard, clinical blue was the first option to be dismissed and we were going nowhere near emergency red either so the search for a colour ended squarely at green’s door. Green for our customers would represent: healthy, calming, clean and alive whilst also being allowed to grow, evolve and breathe goodness to the environment that surrounds it.
So ‘the green physio’ was our starting point but that didn’t quite hit the spot. We needed character, flavour, goodness, punch and power; something that started small but when multiplied could really get noticed (plus Steph’s nickname used to be Pea). And there you have it… The Pea Green Physio.
From small seeds, dreams are grown
We get called green pea sometimes and often people think Steph’s surname is Green (it’s actually Smith) but we are happy that you are talking about us. In fact as far as the brand goes we genuinely do feel it is ‘mission accomplished’ and that we achieved all that we set out to do. The pea green man is very popular with the kids, the colour stands out and shows that we are not like all the other physio’s and most of all our customers love the fact that we really do make a difference to the pain in their bodies.
And soon you will see more peas popping out of the pod, as we open up in new areas and widen the healing reach of the Pea Green Physio.
