Rest In Awareness Half Day Retreat
We’re really pleased to announce that on Sunday 2nd April we’ll be holding a Rest in Awareness (RiA) half day Retreat Day at the Pea Green Studio in Stratton Audley; on
Sunday 2nd April 2017 from 10am-1.30pm, £42pp.
We often find that we are juggling so many things – careers, family, friends, health and more that we rarely can really give anything 100% – even ourselves! So what better day to gain a little more awareness than to take some time out and turn inwards.
The half day retreat will aim to evoke the rest and relaxation response – offering tools to help manage stress, tiredness and overwhelming-ness that we all suffer from in the midst of so much going on. Throughout the day we will explore different yoga and mindfulness techniques that help nourish the body and mind and evoke a sense of wellness – promoting self care, awareness, acceptance and wellbeing. We will explore different styles of yoga, breathing techniques (pranayama) and breath awareness, silence, mindfulness, walking meditation, yoga nidra and relaxation.
Whether your an experienced yogi or new/returning this workshop will be suitable – we assure you of that! All you’ll need is a yoga mat, comfy clothes and an open heart.
As part of the workshop students will receive a Gratitude Journal to document what you are thankful for each day. Students are also encouraged to bring a notebook and pen in order to write down any reflections and observations from the practices.
Places are limited to 12 people. You can book you place online via our mindbody express app or in person. Please note payment needs to be made in person at Pea Green or over the phone before the date of the retreat in order to secure you place.
DEADLINE FOR BOOKINGS: 5pm Wednesday 29th March 2017
The price of this workshop is £42 and needs to be booked/paid in advanced at Pea Green reception. Call us on 01869 241411 or email email@example.com to reserve your place today.
Lauren will be holding the space for the workshop and welcomes you all. Lauren gained her 200 hours RYT qualification in 2014 and has been practicing for over 8 years. She is a qualified adult and children’s yoga teacher and am committed to my evolving yoga journey and personal development both as a yoga teacher and as a student of yoga. Lauren believes that yoga and mindfulness, on and off the mat, contribute to wellbeing of mind and body. She trust that the practice of yoga and awareness gained through mindfulness practices can lead us towards wellness, resilience, happiness, understanding, acceptance and contentment.
Through teaching and sharing her yoga journey/insights, Lauren hopes to inspire students to connect with themselves, physically and emotionally, through the practice of asana, pranayama, mindful awareness and meditation. To lead students towards independence in a safe and nurturing yoga class environment so that they may be able to evolve and enjoy their own self and/or continued class practice, and therefore physical and mental wellness.
