Director & Lead MSk Physiotherapist
Steph is the inspiration, the passion and the driving force behind the Pea Green Physio but she is the first to admit that she could not have created such a home for healthy bodies and healing hands all on her own. The success of her business depended entirely on finding others who were highly qualified, but more importantly, who shared her belief that looking after people’s bodies also meant looking after people.
It was eight years working as a physio for the Ministry of Defence and twelve years travelling to major sporting events around the world with the British Gymnastic Team which convinced her that goal harmony and teamwork was the key to excellence. So when she returned home to Bicester to set up her own business; that became the difference and is why Pea Green is so loved in the town.
As soon as you meet Steph you sense that you are in safe hands and by the time your first conversation has finished you will know that if anyone can solve your problem, she can. Not just because of her undoubted experience and world class expertise but because she instantly becomes as interested in finding a solution as you are. In some cases it is a struggle to stop her working on you there and then…
If you get to know her outside of the Pea Green Barn or Pod, as many of her customers do, then you’ll soon realise that her love of health (plus the odd glass of wine and dim sum) permeates all that she does. Her hobbies include the hot tub at Bicester Hotel Golf and Spa, yoga classes, pushing weights, getting out on her bike and watching movies… and anything else which involves friends and fun.
More recently Steph has been involved in the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Medical team as a physio and Games Maker. She is very proud of the great recognition that Pea Green has earned over the years:
- Start Up Company Winner, Bicester Business Awards, 2010
- 2nd Most Loved Business in Bicester, TheBestOf, 2011
- 2nd Most Loved Physio Clinic in the UK TheBestOf, 2011
- Business Woman 2011, Banbury Business Women Awards, 2011 (Top 3)
As well as being one of the country’s most accomplished and qualified physiotherapists Steph is also the owner, manager and marketing director of the business. Her passion for being the best and simply being different is as unquenchable as her love of seeing customers’ delighted faces when they experience Pea Green. Some of her personal accreditations include:
- BSc Hons Physiotherapy
- Diploma Orthopaedic Medicine
- APPI Pilates Instructor
Headache and Migraine physiotherapist (Level One and Two)
- Member of the Health Professions Council
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Physio Expert on The Chrissy B Show on SKY TV

- And over 50 post graduate Physio courses… far too many to mention!!!!!
Specialist MSk Physiotherapist
As a keen sportsman himself, playing rugby for Buckingham Rugby Club, whilst acting as the team’s physiotherapist, Ben’s life revolves around being healthy and he is a keen student of the effects of nutrition on the body. He even married a personal fitness trainer, Louise, in 2011; ensuring that fitness remains very much in the family. They did, however, take some time out to indulge in a spectacular road trip through California and Mexico for their honeymoon (very little rugby out there).
Alongside rugby and general fitness, Ben can often be heard working on some madcap project in his shed or seen wandering off into the distance, taking his dogs for a long and highly energetic walk. Sometimes, if he gets really carried away, the dogs come back even more tired than him.
Ben originally trained at the University of Hertfordshire and after four years working for the NHS he finally found his niche as an MSk Specialist Physiotherapist at Pea Green. He also supports the local Akeley Wood School with physiotherapy for their hockey and netball teams; and their rugby tour of Canada. His other accreditations include:
- BSc Physio
- Accredited Acupuncturist
- Headache and Migraine physiotherapist (Level One)
- Member of the Health Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- Diploma in Sport Science
- Mulligan techniques
- Myofascial release expert
- Pilates teacher
Caitlin joined the Pea Green family in June 2013 after qualifying as a physiotherapist at Oxford Brookes University and gaining her diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage. Outside of work she spends a lot of her time looking after her horses or on the tennis court where she has recently been made the team captain at Byfield Tennis Club. She is also a qualified LTA Tennis coach and has run coaching classes in this and netball at several schools, as well as private tuition.
But Caitlin’s passion for sport and pushing herself does not stop there; in 2010 she completed the Silverstone half marathon and then ran the Wolf Run to raise money for the MS Society in 2013. Being an active participator in a whole range of sports as well as training others in them has given Caitlin a special insight into helping people recover from sports injuries. She also fully understands the passion her clients have for getting better and she joins them in that goal.
Her involvement with horses and knowledge of typical riding injuries gives Caitlin an insight into a key area of expertise in which other physiotherapists have no direct experience.
She is always looking to learn more and is consistently open to ways to add to her skills and knowledge of the body; particularly in the areas of sports nutrition and psychology.
Caitlin’s main accreditations include:
- Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage
- BSc MSk Physiotherapist
- Mulligan techniques
- KT1 and KT2 taping
