For patients that want to use their Health Insurance Policy for Physiotherapy treatment, firstly need to be referred for Physiotherapy by either their GP or Consultant. They must also have prior permission and an authorisation code given by their Health Insurance Company for a set number of Physiotherapy sessions prior to booking an appointment at Pea Green Physio. It is the patient’s responsibility to contact their Insurance Company for conditions of their policy as we cannot be held responsible for any non-payment of claims or shortfall of treatment fees. Health Insurance ‘excess amount’ varies from policy to policy, this represents the amount of money that the insured party has to pay out-of-pocket and upfront before the insurance plan kicks in for a specific benefit; and begins to cover the cost of medical care or Physiotherapy treatment.
If your Health Insurance Physiotherapy limit has been met and no further treatment is authorised, you may continue to receive Physiotherapy on a ‘self-pay’ basis, the Physiotherapy fees will revert to the normal treatment price as per our Treatment Tariff.
By You: We understand that people lead busy and hectic lives and that sometimes it is unavoidable to have to rearrange your appointment. Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment, at least 24 hours will help us to offer the time to other clients on our waiting list.
By Us: In the event of staff sickness or unavailability we will contact you immediately to discuss options for transferring your booking to an alternative Therapist or postponing to an alternative time.
Missed Appointments: It’s frustrating when we have a ‘no-show’ especially when we can offer the time to another client. A £25 fee will be levied for all appointments cancelled within 24 hours, forgotten or missed.
Tricare Active Duty: If an appointment is missed due to a military work related issue, you must provide proof from a supervisor or you will have to self pay the cancellation fee.
